Bike Tour and Cooking Class in Hoi An

On this tour, we will explore the more rural side of Hoi An by visiting Tra Que vegetable village and Cam Thanh fishing village. On this tour, you will cycle through rice fields and discover the local way of life in a typical home, take a 20-minute foot massage and learn a cooking class and taste traditional foods.

At the appointed time, our guide and bikes will pick you up from your hotels in Hoi An for a city tour of Hoi An by bike. We continue by bike to Tra Que Vegetable Village, a charming little village on the outskirts of Hoi An, the village is famous for its green and sweet aromatic vegetables that spice up the daily meals of the people of Hoi An. To reach the village, we take a ride through lush farmland, rice fields and small villages to Tra Que Village.

Arrive at Tra Que. Enjoy the village tour to the nurseries and herb gardens where bird's eye chili, lemongrass, basil, coriander and scallions abound. All thriving in the rich soil. Immerse yourself and see how the plots are planted, tended and watered with the guidance of local family farmers.

Relax and enjoy a traditional drink in the village houses. Then, we will continue by bike to Cam Thanh fishing village which will take about 30 minutes by bike, when we arrive at Cam Thanh, we will take a few minutes of rest and foot massage. Then, we will board the bamboo baskets to explore the village by boat.

Then, we join a family-organized cooking class. Each cooking lesson begins with a brief introduction, explanations and demonstration of starters, side dishes, main course and dessert, before you roll up your sleeves and try your hand at preparing your own special Hoi An lunch, which includes starter, main course and dessert. Sit back and enjoy your culinary creations at the family table overlooking the villagers tending their farmland.
