Full tour visiting Hue city is one of our highlights. On this tour, we will explore the Imperial City, Royal Tombs and Thien Mu Pagoda beside the Perfume River.
In the morning, at 8am our guide and car will pick you up at your hotels or at the meeting point in Hue to visit the Hue Imperial City, the former capital of Vietnam (1802 – 1945) was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1993.
First we visit the Hue Imperial City which contains the houses, ancient monuments (Pavilion Hien Lam, the 9 imperial urns, The Mieu palace…).
Then, we continue visiting the Forbidden City where the Royal Library, Royal Garden, Royal Theatre… are located. We continue by road parallel to the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda (Heavenly Lady Pagoda), the oldest in Hue which was built in 1601. Here you will find an old car in the garden of the pagoda which was used to take the monk Thich Quang Duc to the center of Saigon, where he immolated himself to protest against the dictator Ngo Dinh Diem government by protecting liberation by practicing Buddhism in Vietnam (1963). Then we will take the boat from the pagoda along the Perfume River to the center, where we have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we will continue the visit to the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc (1829 – 1883), the #4 emperor of the last Nguyen Dynasty, his tomb is one of the most majestic Imperial tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, on the way we stop at Thuy Xuan village, the most colorful village in Hue for its famous incense and conical hats. We continue the visit to the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh (1885 – 1925), it is the last tomb built during the last Nguyen dynasty.
Then, the car and our guide will take you to your hotels in Hue. End of our services!
