Hue City Tour with bike and Cooking Class in Thuy Bieu Village

On this tour, we will explore the authenticity of Hue Imperial City through historical monuments such as Imperial City, Thien Mu Pagoda and explore daily life by bike ride and cooking class.

In the morning, at 8am our guide will pick you up at your hotels or at the meeting point in Hue to visit the imperial city Hue, the former capital of Vietnam (1802 – 1945) was recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site in 1993. First we visit the imperial city Hue which contains the houses, ancient monuments (Pavilion Hien Lam, the 9 imperial urns, The Mieu palace…).

Then, we continue visiting the forbidden city where the royal library, royal garden, royal theater… are located. We continue along the road parallel to the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda (Pagoda of the Heavenly Lady), the oldest in Hue which was built in 1601. Here you will find an old car in the garden of the pagoda which was used to take the monk Thich Quang Duc to the center of Saigon, where he immolated himself to protest against the dictator Ngo Dinh Diem government by protecting liberation by practicing Buddhism in Vietnam (1963).

Then we will take the dragon boat for a scenic cruise on the perfume river to Thuy Bieu Eco-village, where Hue's grapefruit village is known. Here we will take approximately 2 hours to stroll or cycle around the quiet village. Visit the local garden, ancient ancestral temple and communicate with the local people.

Visit some artisan families (the incense maker family, joss paper maker family and paper painter family) to discover the daily life of the local people as they work hard with joy and enthusiasm.

Take time to join a special cooking class at Hue Ecolodge on your own under the instruction of the Eco-chef. (Vả mixed fruit, shrimp and pork; Banh Ram It and Banh Khoái)

After your hands-on class, it's time to taste the traditional Hue dishes you've prepared and our Eco-chef will be able to give you feedback on your own skills as a chef.

At the end of this tour, you will have a great time to relax by soaking your foot in herbal water, a traditional therapeutic practice, and you will enjoy an excellent massage performed by blind people. Then, the guide and car will take you to the hotels. End of our services.
