2-day tour in Phong Nha and Transfers to Hue

Excursion in Phong Nha in 2 days visiting Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave. Then transfer to Hue visiting the Vinh Moc tunnels, which were used during the Vietnam War from 1955 - 1975.

Day 1: Paradise Cave - Phong Nha Cave (lunch)

Day 1: Paradise Cave - Phong Nha Cave (lunch)

At 8:00 – 8:30 am, our tour guide will pick you up in Dong Hoi city (train station, airport, hotels) or in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang area to explore the two caves of Thien Duong (Paradise) and Phong Nha. We will head towards Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to visit the "Royal Palace on the Ground" known as Paradise Cave.

Upon arrival, we will take an electric car to travel about 2 km to the foot of the mountain. Once there, we will continue climbing 500 steps or follow the small path to enter the cave.

On the way, we will see the diverse ecosystem with rare tree species of this national park. We will walk along the wooden staircase system for 1 km, admiring various rock formations: Hexagonal Tower, Assembly of the Immortals, Jade Statue, Royal Palace, Communal House of the highland area, Lotus Tower, and other stalactites with mysterious shapes depending on our imagination.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant, where we will taste typical local dishes.

Next, we will visit Phong Nha Cave. Upon arrival at the pier, we will board a boat on the Son River, listening to the love story associated with the river and admiring the beautiful natural landscape of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. After about 30 minutes sitting on the boat, admiring the simple life of the village on both sides of the river, we will arrive at the entrance of Phong Nha Cave, located in the center of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park with a length of 7729m. We will enjoy impressive karst landscapes, underground river systems, and unique stalactites in the world. This cave is famous for its rock formations with intriguing names like Lion, Unicorn, Kneeling Elephant, and Buddha.

We will also explore the Co Tien (Fairy) and Cung Dinh (Royal Palace) caves to admire beautiful stalactites created by nature over thousands of millennia. At 17:00 – 17:30, we will say goodbye to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and board the bus to return to your hotel.

Day 2: Phong Nha - Vinh Moc Tunnels - Transfer to Hue (Lunch)

At 8:00 – 8:30 am, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Dong Hoi city or in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang area to go to Hue. On the way, we will stop in Quang Tri province, which was an area affected by bombings and bullets from US troops during the war.

We will visit the Vinh Moc tunnels. These tunnels were built on three levels (12, 15, and 23 meters deep) and took 13 months to complete. More than three hundred people lived permanently in the tunnels between 1966 and 1971.

Vinh Moc had a ventilation system that allowed cooking smoke to be expelled to the coast. Sixty-two families made the tunnels their home, and 17 children were born during this time. We will have lunch at a local restaurant, where we will taste typical local dishes. Then, transfer to Hue. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in procedures. Accommodation in Hue.
