Excursion to the Botanical Garden and Dark Cave

Explor the Phong Nha Botanical Garden and the Chay River – Dark Cave in one day, we trek through the garden and then enjoy the activities in the Chay River such as ziplining or kayaking.

At 8:00 – 8:30 am, our tour guide will pick you up in Dong Hoi city (train station, airport, hotels) or in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang area to explore the Phong Nha Botanical Garden and the Chay River – Dark Cave.

Upon arrival at Phong Nha, we will visit the Phong Nha Botanical Garden. We will immerse ourselves in the wild nature and have the opportunity to learn about the rich and rare ecosystem of flora and fauna of the primitive forest, including species listed in the Red Book. We will explore the beauty of the mountains and forests of Phong Nha. At the same time, we will learn more about the work of caring for and preserving flora and fauna through the efforts of the garden staff.

The route: Exhibition House ⇒ Animal Rehabilitation Area ⇒ Vang Anh Stream ⇒ Peacock Observation Spot ⇒ Rare Tree Forest ⇒ Gio Waterfall.

On this route, we can participate in the following main activities: Viewing specimens on display; wildlife observation; seeing 1 of 10 beautiful and rare bird species; learning about the world of forest insects; learning about aquatic species; admiring orchid flowers; bathing in Vang Anh Stream; learning about the plant world and admiring the beauty of Gio Waterfall.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant, where we will taste typical local dishes.

After lunch, we will kayak along the Chay River to feel the peaceful and romantic flow with jade green waters and majestic limestone mountains; cornfields stretch on both sides of the river creating a beautiful landscape, and we will enjoy moments of comfortable relaxation.

Additionally, we will participate in many activities such as swimming and experiencing thrills with the zipline service to bathe in the Chay River and zipline to Dark Cave. Inside this cave, we will have the opportunity to take a natural mud bath and swim in the cool lake.

At 17:00 – 17:30, we will say goodbye to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and board the bus to return to the hotel or meeting point.
